So now that I have a basic understanding of the usefulness of my specific compost and how I want it to end up, now I need to add construction into the mix. 3D printing is a tool I can use to accomplish this. Since my design is drafted, I can use a template on a 3D printing software to make it exist.
-I did not know that 3D printers have their own language, which I'll admit, makes me feel a bit intimidated. I learned that this language is fairly simple, it only has about 10 regularly used commands, so that eases my tension. I also realize that it is more worth learning the language than not since it is a highly performed technology. I found a website that outlines these 10 popular commands. Watching the Khan Academy video in my resources tab also developed my understanding of 3D printing. But this is all on the programming side of 3D printing which I will not be working with. I will simply be transporting my draft into SketchUp.
