After going through with the tutorials on SketchUp, Youtube and KhanAcademy, I am still lost as to how to use a 3D printing software. I knew that it wouldn't be the easiest project but, I am having a much more challenging time than I had originally intended. I guess that's what learning is all about.
Where I am getting stuck is on SketchUp. I can't seem to get my design to connect on the same planes. While I realize that the green, blue and red planes are highlighted according to which plane you are on, none of my shapes will allow themselves to be the same size or on the same "coordinates". This is making my rotor design exceptionally difficult because I need for it to be proportional to itself so it doesn't come out all wonky or not complete at all. I will give it some more time but the amount of time it has taken me so far is not suitable for the needs of my portfolio in sum. I'll also look for other mapping websites that can get me past this barrier, otherwise I may have to take this flawed design for submission.
