After I received all of my components to my soap making, I got to work. When you consider everything that I have blogged so far about this project, my synthetic soap can be altered to a fully natural output. If you think about it, the only thing I am using that makes my batches synthetic is the lye powder. My oils are drawn from natural materials (olive, coconut, hemp, meadowfoam) as well as my essential oils (lemon, lavender, blue spruce, green tea) and my exfoliants (lemon peel skin, dried lavender flowers, blue spruce needles, green tea leaves). So, what if I were to replace my lye with a saponin like chestnut or soap nuts or avocado seeds? Would it even be worth it to mix the “natural lye” to all of my oils? I would have to check if they would evenly chemically mix.
