Here are the progress photos from my soap making. I didn’t include photos of the avocado shampoo processing because it just looks like sudsy water. I had a great time and learned a lot about this interesting craft. It makes me appreciate all the soap I have ever had in my life; I never knew it was this complex but now I know that I can manage it to my preferences and needs. This can also help the ground water because instead of using mass manufactured soaps, I am aware of what ingredients my shampoo or soap consist of.
-First I combined the lye to the water and let it sit for 2 hours because the chemical reaction makes the liquid hot to the touch.

- Next I mixed all of the oils to their proportions on the recipe.

-Then I mixed the oil to the lye solution and mixed it with a stick blender until it became thick.

- After that, I portioned 4 quarters of the soap into bowls, added their fragrances, colors and exfoliants to the cups and spread them out in different cardboard boxes to dry for a month.

Now I have to wait a month and then I can chop them up into bars and ship them to my friends.
