I skimmed over in my initial post what is the major reasoning we conduct LCA’s is for, but I wanted to reemphasize the frequency at which they are occurring. I think it could take an average person about an hour or two to research what sort of products they are consuming and what sort of impact their products make but I was surprised and amazed to learned that LCA professionals exist. You have to take classes and exams to obtain a certification which definitely enhance the measurement of impact. I am glad that this sort of dedication exists because up until now I just believed it to be an independent sort of activity. This sort of certification should be better publicized and required (or maybe it already is) in my opinion because it could help companies earn a weakened environmental footprint for the tools they use. This certification also lasts for about 3 years until you need to renew which is perfect timing to refresh your knowledge and keep up with the everchanging climate. It can also be a means of reducing cost and energy for that particular establishment. Lots of benefits.
